i know that Trev. Just trying to counter some of the negativity about this signing. As said 2 mil is peanuts for a significant upgrade on carlton.

A couple of years ago a lot of us were hoping that this bloke would lead our line.

its testament to how far weve come that he's now seen as an infill player.

isolated

that's the difference between striker crisis and goalscoring crisis.

Crazy thing is, we supposedly have a striker crisis and yet we have scored 9 goals in four games, 5 away without reply.

Norwich - I think you need to have a re-think on that one, usually our top striker doesn't even get 12 let alone the 4th choic striker!

12?

I reckon that might end up being his best season in the Prem ever!

Re: Jelavic having medical. Signed
I think his strike rate is about 1/4 so if he can chip in with 12 throughout the season along with Sahko, Valencia and hopefully Carroll we might be looking at a few goals as we have a very strong midfield and now a bit of width.

Will trust Slaven on this one. Who knows, he could turn out to be very useful if someone knows how to play to his strengths.

Better than Maiga or Cole so I don't see the problem with this.

Lets hope he will do a great job for West Ham and score some vital goals.

Welcome Jelavic.

Re: Jelavic having medical.
20% strike rate since moving to Hull, compared to 10% for Cole. Not the greatest but good enough and an upgrade.
